The reality
For many families, the strength of our public schools shapes where we live, how we plan for the future, and the opportunities available to our children. But access to high-quality education isn’t always consistent—and that gap matters. What I believe
Public education should be a pathway to opportunity for every child, regardless of their background or zip code. Strong schools require sustained investment, accountability, and a commitment to supporting the whole child. As a parent in our local schools and a former professor, this is deeply personal to me. I’ve seen how early education shapes long-term outcomes, and I believe our policies should reflect that reality.
What I’ll focus on
Strengthening long-term investment in public education so every school has the resources it needs
Supporting and retaining educators by improving working conditions, compensation, and professional respect
Ensuring accountability and transparency across our education system
Investing in whole-child support, including counselors, mental health resources, and enrichment programs
Expanding support so public schools can effectively serve all learners, including students with specialized needs
Strong public schools are one of the most important investments we can make in our community’s future, and in every child’s potential. -
The reality
People want to feel safe where they live, work, and raise their families.
Safety is not only about responding to incidents. It is also about creating communities where challenges are addressed early and thoughtfully. What I believe
Public safety starts with trust, accountability, and a shared commitment to looking out for one another. Strong communities are built when people feel secure, supported, and confident in the systems designed to protect them.I believe in a balanced approach that supports law enforcement, strengthens community partnerships, and focuses on prevention as much as response.
What I’ll focus on
Ensuring law enforcement has the resources, training, and support needed to serve effectively
Strengthening partnerships between public safety professionals and the communities they serve through consistent communication and local engagement
Investing in prevention strategies that address root causes and reduce long-term risk
Supporting mental health resources and crisis response systems that help people before situations escalate
Promoting transparency and accountability to build trust and confidence across our communities
Safe, stable communities do not happen by accident. They are built through trust, thoughtful leadership, and a shared commitment to one another. -
The reality
Across our community, families are feeling the pressure of rising costs.
From groceries to housing to everyday expenses, it is becoming harder to keep up, even for those who are working hard and doing everything right. What I believe
People should be able to afford to live, work, and raise a family in the communities they call home. When the cost of living rises faster than incomes, it creates stress that touches every part of daily life.I believe our focus should be on practical, responsible solutions that ease that burden and support long-term financial stability for families.
What I’ll focus on
Reducing the pressure of rising costs on everyday household expenses
Supporting policies that help working families keep more of what they earn, including a state Earned Income Tax Credit
Supporting policies that promote housing stability and affordability
Expanding access to childcare and other essential supports for working families
Making it easier for people to understand why costs are rising and how those costs are being passed on to them
Affordability is not just an economic issue. It is about stability, opportunity, and the ability for families to build a future with confidence. -
The reality
Access to healthcare remains out of reach for too many families. Even for those with coverage, the cost of care can create difficult choices about when and how to seek treatment. What I believe
Healthcare should be accessible, affordable, and reliable. People should be able to get the care they need without worrying about whether they can afford it.I believe in practical solutions that expand access, lower costs, and strengthen the systems families depend on every day.
What I’ll focus on
Expanding access to care so more people can receive timely treatment
Making healthcare costs more predictable and easier for families to understand
Supporting policies that strengthen access to preventive and primary care
Improving access to mental health services as part of overall health
Focusing on long-term solutions that improve outcomes and reduce costs over time
Access to healthcare is foundational to strong families and strong communities. -
The reality
Families today are balancing a lot. Raising children, caring for aging loved ones, managing work and daily responsibilities. For many, the support systems they rely on are stretched thin or difficult to access. What I believe
Strong communities are built by supporting families at every stage of life. That includes parents, caregivers, and those navigating the responsibilities that come with caring for others.I believe we should make it easier for families to find stability, access support, and feel confident in their ability to care for the people who depend on them.
What I’ll focus on
Expanding access to affordable, high-quality childcare
Making it easier for caregivers to balance work and family responsibilities
Strengthening services that support aging adults and long-term care needs
Connecting families with resources that promote stability and well-being
Supporting policies that reflect the realities families face every day
When we support families and caregivers, we strengthen the foundation of our entire community. -
The reality
Our community continues to grow, and with that growth comes increased pressure on roads, schools, utilities, and public spaces. Traffic and commuting challenges are part of daily life for many families. Without thoughtful planning, that growth can strain the systems people rely on every day. What I believe
Growth should be planned, balanced, and responsive to the needs of the community. When done well, it creates opportunity, strengthens local economies, and improves quality of life.I believe we need to take a long-term view, making decisions today that support well-functioning, connected communities in the years ahead.
What I’ll focus on
Aligning growth with infrastructure capacity and community needs
Investing in transportation solutions that improve mobility and reduce congestion
Exploring practical, community-informed options that expand access to transit where it makes sense
Taking a more deliberate approach to large-scale developments like data centers, including evaluating their impact on energy use, infrastructure, and the surrounding community
Ensuring that community members understand what’s being planned and have a real voice in decisions
Thoughtful planning today helps ensure our community remains strong, connected, and livable for years to come. -
The reality
A strong economy depends on people having access to stable, well-paying jobs and clear pathways to build their future. But for many, those pathways are not always clear or easy to navigate. What I believe
Economic opportunity should be within reach for everyone who is willing to work for it. That means creating an environment where businesses can grow, workers can succeed, and communities can thrive together.I believe we need practical, forward-looking solutions that reduce unnecessary barriers, strengthen our workforce, and support long-term economic stability.
What I’ll focus on
Supporting workforce development and job training aligned with today’s economy
Strengthening connections between education, skills, and career pathways
Supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs by reducing barriers and improving access to opportunity
Making it easier for businesses to navigate permitting, licensing and day-to-day operations
Promoting economic policies that support long-term growth, stability, and competitiveness
A strong economy is one where people have the opportunity to build a stable future and businesses have the environment they need to grow. -
What I believe
I believe in the importance of strong, stable alliances that promote the values of democracy, including the longstanding relationship between the United States and Israel.I also believe in protecting the sanctity of life. The loss of innocent life, especially children, is devastating, and it is something we cannot look away from.
Even in times of conflict, we must continue to pursue diplomacy and a recommitment to shared values as the path forward.
As a psychologist, I approach these conversations by listening with empathy. Across the political spectrum, I hear the pain and concern people carry when they talk about these issues, and I believe that matters.
What I’ll focus on
Supporting the importance of strong alliances that promote stability, security, and democratic values
Standing against antisemitism, Islamophobia, and all forms of hate in our schools and communities
Encouraging thoughtful, respectful dialogue across differences
Ensuring that people in our community feel safe, supported, and respected in their daily lives
Even in a complex world, how we show up for one another matters. Our values should guide us toward safety, dignity, and a shared sense of humanity.
