Support for Longtime Residents and Caregivers

Everyone deserves to age with dignity, maintain their independence, and feel connected to the community they call home. Families caring for aging loved ones deserve support, too.

For many families, navigating care for an aging parent or loved one can be overwhelming. Finding reliable information, understanding available services, and balancing caregiving responsibilities with work and family life can create significant challenges.

We can do better.

I want to help make Georgia's aging services easier to navigate and more responsive to the people who rely on them. That means listening to older residents and family caregivers, understanding the challenges they face, and working toward practical solutions that preserve independence and quality of life.

Where I'll focus my efforts:

  • Improve access to information about available services and resources.

  • Strengthen support for family caregivers balancing work, family, and caregiving responsibilities.

  • Expand access to home- and community-based services that help older residents remain independent.

  • Evaluate state programs to improve the accessibility, quality, and effectiveness of aging services.

Supporting older residents also means supporting the families, friends, and neighbors who care for them. When we make it easier for people to age with dignity and remain connected to their communities, we strengthen those communities for everyone.
