Who is Dr. Michelle Schreiner?
I’m Dr. Michelle Schreiner, a psychologist, research leader, former professor, and former federal program analyst. I’m the 2026 Democratic nominee for Georgia House District 45 in East Cobb.
I grew up here in East Cobb, attending East Valley Elementary, Dodgen and East Cobb Middle Schools, and Wheeler High School. Today, my husband Mike and I are raising our twins here.

What office is Michelle Schreiner running for?
I’m running for the Georgia House of Representatives in District 45, which includes communities in East Cobb in Cobb County, Georgia.
I’m the Democratic nominee in the November 3, 2026 general election.

What is Michelle Schreiner’s educational and professional background?
I earned three degrees from the University of Georgia, including my Ph.D. in psychology.
I began my career as a professor, where I taught research methods and statistics and conducted research on how people think, feel, and make decisions.
I later served as a Program Analyst with the Office of Inspector General at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. There, I evaluated healthcare programs and worked to protect taxpayers from fraud, waste, and abuse.
For more than a decade, I’ve worked in user experience research. Today, I lead research teams at a Fortune 50 company, helping organizations better understand people’s experiences and make evidence-informed decisions.

What public service and community experience does Michelle Schreiner have?
I’ve served on the City of Atlanta Zoning Review Board and previously served as Board Chair of Athena’s Warehouse, a nonprofit organization supporting young women.
My experience spans academia, federal government, local public service, nonprofit leadership, and the private sector.

Yes. I was a candidate for the Georgia House of Representatives in District 90 in 2022.
My husband and I decided to move back to East Cobb to raise our twins here, and I’m now the 2026 Democratic nominee for Georgia House District 45.
